Additional Costs / Fees

  • Medical examination: 300 – 500 Kr. – Doctor´s certificate.
  • Photo: 100 – 150 Kr. – Bring a passport-style photo to doctor.
  • Examination fee: 1.450 Kr. – Covers administrative cost for theory and practical driving fee.
  • Administration fee:350 Kr. – Covers administrative costs for theory and practical lessons.
  • Practical examination: 1.500 Kr. – 1st lesson: warm up & 2nd lesson practical.
  • Driving Lesson a 45 min  : 450 Kr. per lesson – Guaranteed lowest price.
  • First aid: 1.000 Kr. – Traffic First Aid Course, consist of a 8 hrs course and is a compulsory course for students taking a car license for the first time. Required only for statutory license.
  • Theory book: 400 Kr. – English theory book
  • Online Theory: 499 Kr. – Accessible anywhere in Denmark

Exchanging a Foreign Driving License in Denmark

If you are ordinarily resident in Denmark and hold a driving license from a non-EU/EEA country, you must exchange it for a Danish license within 14 days if you want to continue driving in Denmark.

What to bring:

  • Medical certificate from your doctor

  • Photograph (color or black & white, front-facing)

  • Driver’s license

  • Valid passport (or valid residence permit if you are not Danish/Nordic)

  • Translation of your license if it’s not in Roman letters or not in English, German, or French (certified translator required)

  • If no passport: original birth certificate or ID with photo

Driving Test

A theory and practical driving test is usually required to exchange your license, except for licenses issued in:

  • Australia (Capital Territory)

  • Brazil

  • Japan

  • Chinese Taipei (Taiwan)

  • South Korea

  • Russia

  • Ukraine

  • Switzerland

Traffic-Related First Aid Course

Eksperternes Driving School offers a certified traffic-related first aid course, approved by the Danish First Aid Council.

With years of experience, we are one of Copenhagen’s largest providers of first aid training.

Duration: 8 lessons, 50 minutes each (divided into 3 theoretical + 5 practical lessons)

Course Includes:

  • Theoretical lessons: Basic First Aid with exercises

  • Practical lessons: Outdoor exercises simulating traffic accidents

    Skills Covered:

  • Heart-Lung Rescue (CPR)
  • Traffic accident response and emergency priorities
  • Emergency evacuation

  • Alerting and shock management
